Flavoured tea: two versions

Directions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 120°C (250°F).
Step 2
Use a vegetable peeler to remove nice pieces of peel from the lemon. Spread out the lemon peel on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until dried. Remove from the oven and chop coarsely.
Step 3
In a 250-mL (1-cup) container, layer the green tea leaves, lemon zest, and then diced ginger.
Step 4
Toast the grains of rice in a skillet over medium-high heat until a brownish colour. Set aside to cool.
Step 5
Use a knife to coarsely chop the popcorn.
Step 6
Mix together the toasted rice, popcorn, and green tea leaves in a bowl.
Step 7
Place mixture in a 250-mL (1-cup) container.
