Chia is a great ingredient to discover (or to rediscover). It’s nourishing, easy to prepare, and packed with soluble fibre that allows it to absorb 10x its weight in water! It has a pleasant, crunchy texture that makes it irresistible! It also contains protein, and pairs perfectly with milk (or soy milk) and Greek yogurt.

It’s so good it’s like having dessert for breakfast!

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: –

Makes: 1 portion

Keeps in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

250 ml (1 cup) dairy milk or fortified soy milk

60 ml (1/4 cup) organic plain Greek yogurt

60 ml (1/4 cup) white or black chia seeds

15 ml (1 tbsp.) store-bought orange marmalade (or any jam of your choice)

2.5 ml (1/2 tsp.) organic ginger, washed and grated

  1. In a Mason jar, stir together all the ingredients. Place in the fridge overnight.
  2. Before serving, top with a spoonful of organic marmalade and a sprinkling of grated ginger.

NOTE: Did you know that orange and ginger are a winning combo? The citrus notes of fresh ginger are a natural flavour enhancer when combined with quality organic marmalade. A great way to put a bit of sunshine on your plate!
