Two versions of comforting herbal tea

Orange cream

  • 1 orange
  • 60 mL (¼ cup) coarsely chopped, toasted macadamia nuts
  • 60 mL (¼ cup) chopped white chocolate

Banana cream pie

  • 60 mL (¼ cup) toasted coconut flakes
  • 60 mL (¼ cup) chopped white chocolate
  • 60 mL (¼ cup) coarsely chopped bananas


Orange cream

  1. Preheat oven to 120°C (250°F).
  2. Use a vegetable peeler to remove nice pieces of peel from the orange. Spread out the orange peel on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until dried. Remove peel from the oven and chop coarsely.
  3. In a bowl, combine the orange peel, macadamia nuts, and white chocolate.
  4. Place mixture in a 250-mL (1-cup) container.

Banana cream pie

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Place mixture in a 250-mL (1-cup) container.

Herbal tea: Place 15 mL (1 tbsp.) of the blend in a tea ball and steep it in 375 mL (1½ cups) of boiling water for 5- 7 minutes.

Chef's secret: Transform your tea into latte. Steep the tea in hot milk and sweeten it with honey to taste.
